This project explores the interaction of poetry and music while building upon the experimental foundation of the Black Mountain College artists. Antilinear forms contrasted with surrealistic narratives comprise this conversation between voice and piano in homage and progression. A fusion of liberal arts, the project breathes inspiration from Robert Creeley, John Cage, Charles Olson, and Buckminster Fuller.
Biographical notes: Aaron price is a lifelong musician with deep roots in impressionism, improvisation, and lyricism.
Sculpture of environmental, harmonic, interactive musical landscapes is a current focus as integrated into “Small Dreams of Home: Exploration of Sound and Word,” where he collaborates with poet Caleb Beissert.
